Axceler Introduces ControlPoint 3.8
Update Release of Award-Winning SharePoint Administration Product Manages More SharePoint Components, Supports Bulk Operations and Enhanced Reporting
WOBURN, MA – April 19, 2010 – Axceler, the leader in administration software for Microsoft SharePoint, today introduced release 3.8 of ControlPoint, demonstrating the company’s commitment to continuously upgrading its flagship product. In addition to routine maintenance updates, Axceler ControlPoint 3.8 adds value by managing more SharePoint components, supporting bulk operations capabilities and enhanced reporting functionality. ControlPoint 3.8 will be demonstrated for the first time in Axceler’s booth #4 during the SharePoint 2010 Evolution Conference April 19-21 at London’s Queen Elizabeth Conference Center. ControlPoint 3.8 is also available for download on Axceler’s website.
Among the 3.8 update release enhancements are the following:
- Powerful and comprehensive management of additional SharePoint components, including Alerts, Content Types and Lists;
- More enterprise-wide usage reporting from the Web Application, down to the item level;
- Support for bulk operations with PowerShell Cmdlets, web services controls and the ability to easily copy to multiple destinations;
- More robust management of the SharePoint audit data; and,
- New features to provide site administrators with even more capabilities, including additional support for more detailed reporting and analysis at the site level to all sub-sites below and the ability to select any set of folders and/or items, making granular choices easier to specify when needed.
