Leveraging Domino Content Enterprise-Wide
Lotus Domino® provides your organization with a collaborative platform for organizing and sharing corporate information. As an enterprise platform, Domino can store, process and generate an enormous amount of rich content. However many corporations now use additional systems, including Web based systems, that require standard document formats as Microsoft® Word, Adobe PDF, HTML, xHTML and XML. Domino developers struggle to leverage this rich content in other Web based systems, including document management, Web content management, or even records management.
The key to extending the value of Domino content to the rest of your enterprise lies in your ability to convert rich content into standard formats that can be easily ported between Domino and other specialized, content-driven applications. |

How it Works
With Lyrix, sharing Domino content with the rest of your enterprise is easy:
- Select the Domino Source Content: Select rich content from any Domino database using any view, form or custom selection. You can set up one or two-way synchronized transfers, or expose content as a Web service for on-demand access to content from any Web service-based API.
- Define the Transformation - Map Domino rich text fields, forms, embedded images and attachments to consumable, standard file formats including Microsoft Word and PDF.
- Select the Destination - Identify content destinations such as file systems, relational databases, FTP, Microsoft SharePoint or custom targets.
Lyrix can also extract and place Domino data in XML metadata files or in DBMS tables to help the target application properly organize and store the document. Alternately, the content and associated XML may be made directly available through Web services API calls, allowing you to further automate your integration projects.
