The Business Challenge
OneSource provides a Web-based family of integrated company and business information suites for the corporate desktop. They combine core business information types into a single resource. Their challenge was to provide a system for their sales people so that they could more easily service their customers and prospects.
The task was to provide a Notes application that made it easy for sales to create evaluation accounts on the Web server for their prospects and to obtain the data being collected about their customers information needs so that they can recommend the types of services the customer should purchase.
Axceler Solution
The company's Lotus Notes installation, used for sales management and other applications, offered OneSource an opportunity to integrate the data being collected in the relational database with the sales system. Axceler Notrix was chosen for the data integration requirements because it contained the depth of features needed to implement more complex applications, including simultaneously integrating data from different tables. Their solution provides a means for Sales to create the evaluation accounts in real-time by entering information about the prospect into a Notes form. As customers are accessing information in the Microsoft SQL Server via their Web browser, it is collected and propagated back into the Notes sales system.
The Result
This integrated system, made possible by Axceler Notrix, moves the information into the sales inquiry system and thereby arms their sales people with the data they need to be more effective at understanding their customer's information requirements.
