Axceler Tools, based in Stoneham, is helping Stoughton-based Reebok save time and money by implementing its software product, Axceler Notrix. The product is helping Reebok manage its sample purchase orders and proforma invoices.
Reebok is using Axceler Notrix to integrate data between Lotus Notes and mainframe applications, Lotus Notes and Lotus Notes applications, and Lotus Notes and SQL server applications.
Overall, Notrix is helping to reduce the overhead in managing Reebok's apparel, footwear and specialty businesses. Notrix provides a way to exchange data, which enables employees to move away from manual processes, legacy systems and redundant data entry. One Reebok process using Notrix technology uses Lotus Notes to view and print proforma invoices, while the generation of the data takes place on the mainframe. Reebok is able to merge mainframe and client/server technology, taking advantage of the best aspects of each, thereby developing the best technical solution for a business problem. Previously, the proforma invoices were created on a typewriter. The new process, which has been implemented in seven Far Eastern countries, saves time and money.
