The Business Challenge
ATO Findley, the largest worldwide supplier of adhesives for the nonwovens disposables market, needed a way to quickly analyze their Lotus environment. They needed to receive information on which databases were on which servers, who had access to these databases, and what level of access they had. Currently, there is no way to get this information directly from Domino without diverting resources to write code that give them what they were looking for. They wanted to find some existing software that provided this information and allow for some customization of their own.
The Axceler Solution
After reviewing several products, ATO Findley decided that Axceler ServerAdmin Plus would fit all of their needs by giving them the analysis of ACL information of their Notes databases. Additionally, with this information being populated into a Notes database, they were able to build their own views giving them the flexibility of reviewing the data however they want.
The Result
ATO Findley was up and running with the product in a very short time and could immediately see the benefits they were looking for. Additionally, they have taken advantage of other tools and functions that this product offers. Some of the administration tasks have greatly reduced personnel time need to manually track and change information and they found problems with their servers and databases that they did not even know were there. According to Paul Pihart, their Senior Analyst and Programmer, "One of the most positive aspects with Axceler, aside from the product itself, has been the Technical Support. I have had several opportunities where I need to ask for assistance and every time I was immediately connected to a support person without having to wait until someone can call me back.
