Percussion ServerAdmin Plus V7.1 extends the power of the Pro Manager module, which was first released with ServerAdmin Plus 7.0. The Pro Manager module is designed to save an administrator's time by allowing you to completely automate all your Domino administrative tasks. The Pro Manager addresses two different needs: "Key Projects" and "Recurring Projects."
Key projects are the large, complicated projects that occur on an infrequent basis and require specialized knowledge and careful planning. Examples of key projects are upgrading mail files, consolidating servers, merging domains, and renaming domains.
Recurring projects are those items that would otherwise take a small slice of your time every day or on a regular basis. Examples of recurring projects are managing user mail quotas and compacting databases with available free space.
ServerAdmin Plus V7.1 adds support for several new recurring and key project types:
New Pro Manager Key Project Templates
- Consolidate Servers: Move databases seamlessly from multiple servers to a single server.
- Merge Domains: ServerAdmin Plus guides you through all the steps required to merge domains, including Merge, Deploy, Update and Analyze - We've done the research and coding for you. This project automates the tasks of sending mail to end users and updating domain, configuration, connection and location documents, thereby reducing the merge domain total project time by 75%!
- Rename Domains: ServerAdmin Plus makes renaming domains easy. This project automates the renaming of a domain in all appropriate documents and sends email to all end users, updating local location and connection documents.
- Upgrade to iNotes™ for Web mail: This is the first in a series of "upgrade templates" from Percussion aimed to make upgrades faster and smoother for Domino administrators. This project template will allow you to upgrade mail user to iNotes5.
New Pro Manager Recurring Project Templates
- Warn users of mail files reaching quota: Take action on databases that have reached a percentage of quota or threshold that you define. For example ServerAdmin Plus can send a customizable email to warn users their mail file is 80% of quota.
- Compact databases with available free space: Find and compact databases according to the amount of free space available.
